Terms of Use — Sharokey
Last updated: 08/07/20261. Purpose
These Terms of Use ("Terms") set out the terms and conditions governing access to and use of the Sharokey service. Any use of the Service constitutes full and unreserved acceptance of these Terms by the user.
2. Description of the Service
Sharokey is a secure platform for sharing sensitive data (passwords, secrets, files) based on end-to-end encryption using a "zero knowledge" architecture. The Service notably allows:
- the creation of single-use sharing links with a limited lifespan;
- the protection of links by password, CAPTCHA, or geographic restriction;
- the generation of secure data requests;
- integration with Microsoft Outlook via an add-in.
Content shared via Sharokey is never accessible in clear text by the publisher, and is automatically deleted after being viewed or upon expiration.
3. Access to the Service and user account
Access to certain features of the Service requires the creation of an account, including via single sign-on (SSO) provided by third-party identity providers such as Microsoft. The User is responsible for the confidentiality of their credentials and for any activity carried out from their account.
4. User obligations
The User agrees to use the Service in accordance with the law and these Terms, and in particular agrees not to:
- share unlawful content, or content infringing the rights of third parties or public order;
- attempt to bypass the Service's security measures;
- use the Service for purposes of harassment, fraud, or identity theft.
Any breach may result in the suspension or termination of access to the Service, without prejudice to any legal action.
5. Intellectual property
All elements of the Service (software, brand, logo, interface, documentation) are the exclusive property of Sharokey and are protected by intellectual property law. No reproduction, representation, or exploitation, in whole or in part, is authorized without prior written consent.
6. Protection of personal data
The processing of personal data within the scope of the Service is described in the Privacy Policy, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
7. Availability and liability
The publisher implements reasonable means to ensure the availability and security of the Service, without guaranteeing the absence of interruptions or errors. The publisher's liability cannot be engaged in the event of force majeure, User fault, or malfunction attributable to third parties (host, networks, identity providers).
8. Term and termination
These Terms apply for the entire duration of use of the Service. The User may stop using the Service at any time and request the deletion of their account. The publisher reserves the right to suspend or terminate access in the event of a breach of these Terms.
9. Amendment of the Terms
The publisher reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be informed of any substantial modification. Continued use of the Service after such modification constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or performance shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts, subject to applicable mandatory jurisdiction rules.
